Asset management firm Valkyrie has filed for an Ether futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The fund will not directly invest in Ether but will seek to purchase ETH futures contracts. The ETF will also invest in cash, cash-like instruments, and high-quality securities. The investment in Ether futures contracts will be limited to 8,000 contracts per month. Several other asset managers have also filed for Ether futures ETFs. This comes as expectations grow for the approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF in the U.S.
